By default, only a login/password is used as a mean to access your Accountable account when you create your account.

We send an automated email to your inbox to validate your email address.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security process in which we add a second authentication method to verify your identity, using your mobile phone. This process adds an extra layer of protection to your online account and ensures that only you can access your data, even if someone else has your password.

2-factor authentication can easily be activated from the web, here is how:

1- Login to your account on web

2- Go to Settings > Two-Factor Authentication

3- Scan the QR code from your mobile phone using Google Authenticator app (or similar) and input the confirmation code

4- Save your Recovery code somewhere safe (you will not be able to access it again)

5- Use 2-factor authentication to login

On your next connection attemps, it's possible that the app asks for a 6-digits security code.

Use your authentication app (like Google Authenticator) to get the code (each code is valid for a very limited time).

Input the 6-digits code to validate the connection.
