By default, only a login/password is used as a mean to access your Accountable account when you create your account.

We send an automated email to your inbox to validate your email address.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security process in which we add a second authentication method to verify your identity, using your mobile phone. This process adds an extra layer of protection to your online account and ensures that only you can access your data, even if someone else has your password.

2-factor authentication can easily be activated from the web, here is how:

1) Login to your account on web

Please login via the Accountable web version right here.

2) Go to Settings > Login methods > Two-Factor Authentication

3) Scan the QR code from your mobile phone using Google Authenticator app (or similar) and input the confirmation code

4) Save your Recovery code somewhere safe (you will not be able to access it again)

Make sure to store your recovery code somewhere safe as you will not be able to access it again.

5) Log in with 2FA

You can now log in to Accountable and will be asked to enter the 6 digit code you received via the authenticator app.
