1️⃣ Transfer your first funds in and record it correctly
To get started, your first transfer should be recorded as a private transfer. This ensures everything is tracked correctly in your Accountable account from the very beginning.
Open your Accountable app.
Select the first transfer
Choose "Mark as personal" as the type.
This first step helps your account stay organized and ensures your future invoices and payments are correctly matched. 💡
2️⃣ Keep your other linked bank accounts
If you already have linked an external bank account to Accountable (like your personal bank account), here’s what we recommend:
⚠️ Keep the external account linked – don’t remove it. If you do, this could cause your past transactions to become unlinked from the invoices and expenses.
You can use both accounts at the same time:
Accountable for your business payments
Your external bank for other personal or certain business operations
This way, you get the flexibility of managing multiple accounts while keeping all business transactions visible and reconciled in Accountable. 🔗
3️⃣ Start using features
Create your free virtual card for upcoming business expenses, scan your receipt, and the expense and transaction will be linked automatically. The amount to set aside will be updated, keeping you on top of your taxes at all times!
When issuing your next invoice, add your new Accountable IBAN so it automatically matches with your incoming payments
By following these steps, you’ll start building a clear and organized financial overview from day one, all in one place. 🚀
