With the Accountable mobile app, you can generate a QR code containing your bank details so your clients can pay you instantly. These QR codes are automatically linked to your accounting, saving you some precious time.Whether you're invoicing or receiving non-invoice payments, this feature simplifies the process. Here’s how to generate and use a QR code for quick payments:
A) How to generate a QR code from the Bank screen ?
Open the Accountable mobile app and go to the Bank screen.
Tap on Get paid by QR code.
Select the target bank account where you wish to receive the payment, or you can manually enter your IBAN if necessary.
In the Payment Info form, enter the Amount you want to receive and any Communication (like a reference note for the payment).
The app will automatically generate a QR code containing the payment details.
Ask your client to scan the QR code using their banking app (on their smartphone) to pay.
Once the payment is made, the app will notify you that the payment is on its way.
Once the payment is successfully received, the app will display “Payment received”.
You now have the option to either close the screen or add this payment as non-invoice revenue by tapping "Add as non-invoice revenue".
If you choose to add it as non-invoice revenue, you’ll be redirected to the revenue form to fill in details about the payment and save it so it appears in your Revenue List.
B) How to Generate a QR code from the Revenue screen ?
Open the Accountable mobile app and go to the Revenue screen.
Tap on Add non-invoice revenue.
Fill in the form with the relevant information about the revenue.
After completing the form, tap on "Add & Get paid via QR code".
Select the target bank account where you want to receive the payment, or manually enter your IBAN.
The app will generate a QR code containing the payment details.
Ask your client to scan the QR code from their banking app (on their smartphone).
Once the payment is made, the app will inform you that the payment is on its way.
When the payment is successfully received, the app will display "Payment received".
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use this feature for both invoice and non-invoice payments?
A: Non, you can only use this feature for non-invoice revenue. However, if you need to have a QR code in your invoices for easier payments from your Belgian clients, simply toggle the button QR code in your invoice settings on mobile or in the invoice creation form on Accountable web.
Q: Do I need to have an IBAN to use this feature?
A: You can either select a bank account from your linked accounts in the app or manually enter your IBAN when generating the QR code.
Q: How long does it take for the payment to be processed?
A: With Accountable Banking, the payment is processed instantly once your client scans the QR code and completes the transaction through their banking app. With other banks, it can be processed instantly but it can also take up to a few days.
