Step-by-Step Guide to creating instalment invoices in Accountable
Here's how it works in Accountable:
1. Create a new invoice
Log in to your Accountable account and navigate to the revenue screen
Click on "Create an invoice" and start adding your details as usual
Add your items or services (e.g., “Garden, Floor 1 – Service Sale – €3,000”)
2. Enable instalment payment
Select "Instalment" with the toggle on the right
Choose the amount for the first instalment (e.g., 30% or €2,000)
The system automatically generates the first partial invoice and calculates the remaining balance
3. Add additional Instalments
After saving and easily sending the first invoice to your client, you can create the next one when needed. Click on the first invoice and then select the icon "Create next invoice for this project"
Enter the next instalment amount (e.g., €500)
Add additional items if needed
Repeat until the full invoice amount is invoiced
4. Review and finalise
The system displays all partial invoices, including amounts already invoiced and remaining balances
Once complete, you can send the final invoice to your client directly from Accountable. Done. Your project is complete.
