You've finalized your sales invoice? Wonderful! Now it's time to send it.
In this article, we explain everything you need to know about how to send invoices.
1. Send the invoice with Accountable
From the web:
Send via the email sender
After you have created the invoice, select "Save & prepare to send"
Add the email address(es) of the recipient(s) in the "To" / "Cc" / "Bcc" fields
Update the text of the email
Click "send"
You will receive a copy of the email
View the status of the email
You will receive a notification in the app as soon as the recipient has opened the email.
In the app, you can also follow the status of the email, to trace:
when it was sent
if/when it was opened/read by the recipient
This will be added shortly.
Create an email template using variables
Update the text of the email and click "+ Add variable" to automate fields:
invoice number
client name
invoice amount
invoice due date
Click the 3-dots button on the right > "Save as template"
💡 Next time you send an invoice, the same email will be drafted by default (with adjusted variables)

2. Send the invoice myself
From web
After you have created the invoice, select "Save & download PDF"
Download the PDF file
Send it to your client via your preferred mean (email, whatsapp, post)
From mobile
After you have created the invoice, select "View sharing options"
This will open sharing options from your mobile phone
