What are the fees for Tap to Pay?

When you accept payments using Tap to Pay, a small processing fee is applied to each transaction. 💳

The fee is made up of two parts:

  • a fixed fee per transaction

  • a percentage of the payment amount

The exact fee depends on the type of card your customer uses.

How much does Tap to Pay cost?

Consumer cards

➡️ Consumer cards are cards issued to individuals for personal use.

  • European Economic Area-issued Visa & Mastercard (consumer cards)
    €0.12 + 1.1% of the transaction amount (excluding VAT)

  • Non-EEA consumer cards
    €0.25 + 2.6% of the transaction amount (excluding VAT)

Commercial cards

➡️ Commercial cards are business credit or debit cards issued to companies.

  • EEA-issued commercial cards
    €0.25 + 2.6% of the transaction amount (excluding VAT)

  • Non-EEA commercial cards
    €0.25 + 2.6% of the transaction amount (excluding VAT)

What happens if a customer disputes a payment?

If a customer disputes a payment and it results in a chargeback, the following fee applies:

Chargeback fee: €25 per case (excluding VAT)

Do these fees include VAT?

No. All fees listed above exclude VAT.

VAT may be added where applicable according to local tax rules.
