Once Tap to Pay is activated and you have accepted the terms and conditions, you can immediately start accepting payments.
🚀 How to accept a payment with Tap to Pay
Follow these simple steps:
Go to the Bank page in the Accountable Banking app
Tap the + button in the bottom right corner
Select Tap to Pay
Enter the amount
(Optional) Add a description / communication, for example: Haircut
Tap Continue
👉 Your phone is now ready to accept the payment.
Ask your client to simply hold their card or smartphone against your phone, near the NFC sensor 📲 (on iPhone this is the top of the device, on Android it is usually the back)
Once the payment is successful, it will be confirmed instantly
💰 How to add the payment as revenue
After the payment has been accepted:
A green button will appear: “Add as non-invoice revenue”
Tap this button
Enter a item name (for example: Haircut)
Tap Add as revenue
🎉 Done! The payment is now correctly added to your bookkeeping as income.
💡 Good to know
Tap to Pay works directly from your phone (iPhone or Android), no extra device needed
You can always add the transaction as revenue afterwards for your accounting
